What happens if I forget my master password?
There is no recovery. This is by design — zero-knowledge means only you know it. We recommend writing it down and downloading the CSV backup on first setup. You can reset your vault (erasing all data) and start fresh.
Can GenXpass employees read my passwords?
No. We physically cannot. Encryption happens server-side but the vault key only exists in your PHP session memory — derived from your master password which we never receive. Our database only stores AES-256-GCM ciphertext.
Is the 14-day trial really free? No card needed?
Yes, completely free. No credit card required to start. After the trial your account automatically switches to the Free plan (25 passwords). Upgrade anytime from your billing page for €2/month.
Which countries and payment methods are supported?
GenXpass is available globally. Payments are processed by Stripe and support Visa, Mastercard, American Express, SEPA Direct Debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more — in EUR. Available in 150+ countries.
Can I cancel my subscription?

How do secure share links work?
Each share link uses a separate derived encryption key — not your vault key. The URL token is not the key; the encryption key is derived using SHA-256(token + server_secret). Set expiry time (1h to 7 days) and max views (1 to 50).
